Homemade Dog Treats!

I am always trying to find new things to give my dogs that are healthy for them.  Today, I made them something new and they went crazy over it.  I love it because I know it is a healthy treat for them.  It's also so easy to make.
This is what I did.

I made some oatmeal.  I already had some liver that I had cooked up for them.  I minced the liver all up and mixed it into the oatmeal.  Then I scrambled 2 eggs and added that to the oatmeal and liver.  Then I added a little bit a honey.

I spread the whole mixture on a baking sheet and baked it for about 45 minutes on 350.
I took it out and let it cool and cut it up in squares.  I'm keeping the treats in a zip lock bag in the frig.  Since it has meat in it I want to make sure it stays fresh.
For any animal owners out there I thought you might like to make this for your babies too!

Cube Steaks

I'm making cube steaks tonight for my dinner and trying something new.  I usually make country fried steaks with cube steaks.  Tonight, I took some French's dried onions and put them in a zip lock back and pounded them making bread crumbs out of them.
I added spices to it... basil, parsley, rosemary, garlic powder, pepper, (I didn't add salt because it is already salted), and parmesan cheese.
In another bowl I am scrambling 2 eggs with a little milk.
I'm going to dip the cube steaks into the egg and then into the french's onion mixture and frying them.
That's it!  Very easy but I have a feeling this is going to be really good.
I also have 2 acorn squash baking in the oven right now to have with my dinner.  I am also making baked potato with sour cream, and a side salad.  Yummmmyyyyy!!!!

Meat Roll Up

I made this for dinner tonight.  It is baking in the oven right now.  I'm not going to write an ingredient list because this recipe can be made anyway you like it.
Tonight I am using Ground Beef.  You can use ground beef or ground turkey or ground pork...or mix them all together.  I usually mix ground pork and ground beef but tonight I just had the beef.
I mix the beef like I am going to make a meatloaf.  However you make your meatloaf, you just mix it that way.  I put bread crumbs, 2 eggs, grated parmesan cheese and spices.
On the side in a frying pan, I fried up some cut up green bell peppers, onion, garlic, tomato...(and of course I put my very favorite chili garlic sauce) . I cut up broccoli in small pieces and added that to the mixture while it was frying.  If I had it I would have rather put in spinach but I didn't have it tonight.  Like I said, you can put in whatever you like.  Just make a stir fry out of whatever vegetables you want.
Then, on the side I grated some cheese.  I just looked at what I had in the frig.  I grated some cheedar cheese, some white sharp cheddar and I added some grated mozzorella.
Take aluminum foil and lay out a big piece.  Then, smear a little oil on it to keep the meat from sticking.  I took the ground beef mixture and pressed it all out onto the sheet of aluminum foil in a rectangle shape leaving about an inch all of the way around of the foil.
Then spread your grated cheese all over the meat and then add the vegetable mixture on top of that.  Kind of like you are making a pizza.
Pick up one end of your foil and start rolling the meat and toppings into a big roll. I like the pinch the ends of the meat together after it's rolled up so that the stuffing doesn't fall out.
I smeared ketchup all over the top and sides of the meat.
Put it in a pan and cover with foil.
Bake at 350 for at least an hour.  Take off the foil and bake a while longer to brown the top a little.
That's it!
